Apple can launch its own video streaming service, similar to Netflix and Amazon. The company will also perform streaming of its own films and series, Deadline.com reported.
A sure sign that Apple is preparing a similar service is the recent acquisition of the international rights of the documentary film The Elephant Queen (which debuted recently at the Toronto Film Festival) and the animation “Wolfwalkers”.
It is expected that Apple’s streaming service will be operational in March 2019. Last year, Apple invested nearly a billion dollars in the acquisition and creation of original content, analysts recall the market.
Information has already surfaced that the company will be releasing Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories series, Ronald Moore’s “Battlestar Galactica’s” and the adaptation of “Foundation” by Isaac Azimov.
