A group of police officers in Paris took down protective helmets in front of citizens protesting fuel tax hikes.
The protests escalated after a conflict between police and citizens. More than 400 people have been arrested, 6 buildings have been burnt, 112 cars burned, and about 100 people have been injured.
On social networks, photos and videos of the most violent demonstrations in Paris have been published so far. One video shows police officers brutally beat up one of the protesters. Another footage shows police officers taking down protective helmets to support demonstrators against Emanuel Macron’s policies.
