After a recent study published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine found that the average penis in the United States is 2.45 centimeters smaller than the minimum length of 16.9 centimeters by which the producers of condoms, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ) approved the production of smaller condoms.
The Indiana University Survey conducted in 2014 to 1,661 Americans showed that the average penis in the country is 14.1 centimeters long.
The longest penis in the study was 25.9 centimeters long and the smallest 4.06 centimeters.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only about one third of Americans use condoms, and the wrong size that causes slipping is cited as the main reason not to use this type of protection against sexually transmitted diseases and unplanned pregnancy.
In response to these findings, the FDA approved the production and sale of smaller condoms in the country.
Although the larger brands of condoms still have not adapted to different needs in practice, Global Protection Corporation has begun offering condoms in 60 sizes, ranging from 12.4 to 23.8 centimeters.
