There are several periods of life when you need to pay more attention to the diet and physical activity, so that you do not put a few pounds more that you will hardly get rid of.
For women, these are the “critical” periods of life when they need to be particularly careful:
Girls naturally get tired of teenage years as the number of fat cells in the body increases. Puberty changes the shape of the body, followed by the first menstruation and the body begins to accumulate fat where it needs it. Teens need more calories than adults because this is a period of heightened growth and development. This should not be a cause for concern, but parents should encourage children to develop a healthy relationship with food, to feed on a balanced diet and to deal with some kind of physical activity. That way they will build a healthy image for their body.
Departing from the parental home
Stress, new responsibilities, dietary change (eating more fast foods and pasta, less fruits and vegetables, eating “legs”, irregular diet), and alcohol consumption affect the sharp increase in weight in the period when young people are evicted from their parents’ home , which is most common in student years. In order not to fall into this trap, learn to cook some simple healthy dishes, beware of how many fruits and vegetables you enter during the week, and of course, find time for exercise.
In a healthy pregnancy, the pregnant woman should not receive more than 10-12 pounds, especially if she had a normal weight before her pregnancy. But every woman and every body is different and this should be kept in mind. However, be careful not to increase your weight too much, which can be dangerous for both you and your baby and cause complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Myth is that the pregnant woman should “eat for two”! Keep yourself balanced and strive to be as active as possible, as your willingness and condition permits.
Marriage or the beginning of a joint life with a partner
Studies have shown that in the first year of marriage, spouses gain 2-3 pounds an average. It’s easy to fall into the “snare” – giving up the habits and enjoying more food in a home atmosphere with a partner who loves and wants you. When people live together, they are more likely to cook more often. It’s wonderful, but be careful what, when and how much you cook and how much you eat. Look at the healthy options of your favorite dishes and start snacking fruits and vegetables instead of sweets and snacks. Start and work together, at least go on long walks.
New “sitting” work
You should be proud of yourself when you are employed and give the best you can to prove yourself. But do not do it at your own risk. Sitting work contributes to obesity, mostly on “risky places”, and fat deposits settled in a long sitting area and a little movement hardest melts even with the most abrasive trainings. Statistics show that office workers in the first year “climb” an average of about 3 pounds. Try to eat healthier and move more. Make more brief breaks and, if you can, enter a few exercises in your work schedule.
The 40th birthday
When we are in middle age, our body needs less energy than in youth, and we usually continue to feed the same amount. As we age, the percentage of fatty tissue naturally decreases (about 8% every 10 years after age 40), and the metabolism slows down, making it harder for us to maintain the desired weight and to take off excess pounds. Eat more protein and be sure to start practicing. Power exercises are ideal for these years. Also, be sure to sleep quality and uninterrupted 7-8 hours of nighttime sleep because insomnia is one of the reasons for obesity.
